My name is Donald S. Butler and I hail from the great state of Mississippi. I was born to the late Rev. Charles W. Butler and Imogene Butler. Upon finishing high school and two years of college I entered the United States Air Force. While stationed at Whiteman Air Force base in Knob Noster, MO I met the former Shelisa D. Brewer of Kansas City MO. We married November 22, 1997 & began a life together at Royal Air Force base in Mildenhall, England, United Kingdom. While stationed in England we had two children, Malachi & Joshua. We also partnered with Lighthouse Christian Faith Center & I accepted the call of God to preach the Gospel.
We returned to the United States permanently in Nov of 2002 where I joined the United States Air Force Reserves and Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church of Warrensburg, MO. Upon moving to Lee’s Summit, MO, another child, Naomi, was added to the Butler household. I also served at Friendship Baptist Church of KCMO. During my tenure at Friendship, I was ordained and served as the first paid staff member.
Over the years the Holy Spirit has led me to make myself available to various ministries in the Kansas City area for the purpose of promoting His Kingdom. Currently I serve as the Worship Pastor of Three Trails Community Church. We are a multicultural and diverse church plant based in the South Kansas City community. Above all, our leadership and myself are dedicated to blessing anyone we encounter though service, outreach, displaying love, and helping people to become followers, disciples, and apostles of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I’m excited to see what God has in store for us, because he always exceeds our expectations!
